Writing Guidelines

You could help someone today

Imagine someone having one of the hardest days they have had in a long time. Then they read your words.
You don't need to be a writer. You don't need perfect spelling. We will help with that later. Just write like you would to a friend who's having a hard time. If you'd normally write "u" instead of "you", that's fine too. We want your letter to sound like you.

What could you say?

  1. Say hello.
  2. Let them know they're not alone.
  3. Share something that helped you through a difficult time.
  4. Remind them that things can change, even when it doesn't feel like it.

You don't need to tell your whole story. Just give them something real to hold on to.

If you're thinking, "I'm not the right person to do this," you are.

You could know what it's like to struggle like them. You might know what it's like to need someone to remind you that things can get better. Your message might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

Thank you for taking the time to write.

You never know who might read your words, or how much they could mean to them.
